Health & Safety

Health and safety both within our own workshop, and out on site installing our fabrications makes up a critical part of our operating procedures.

Fabrication and installation is an industry full of risks typically associated with the machinery and tools used. Safety is an obvious essential concern and we ensure a rugged health and safety policy is consistently applied across every project to keep our team, your team and the general public absolutely safe throughout all fabrications and installations.

Workshop health and safety system

Our workshop floor includes a wide variety of tools, heavy equipment and dangerous materials with the potential to cause some serious injuries.

Health and safety has always been integral to our workshop with every member of the team trained in their responsibilities and following rigidly risk assessed working practices that ensure the safety of our team throughout the fabrication process.

Our compliance and approach on client sites

The Watts Group delivery and fitting teams have a wider responsibility not just for themselves but also client employees, customers and the general public. Following best practice guidelines we carefully risk assess and plan every installation and work out schedules and method statements that mitigate every possible risk and ensure robust and secure installation for long term safety concerns.

Formally recognised and fully compliant

We are registered members of CHAS, and are fully compliant to all relevant health and safety legislation and building codes. Our team carry CSCS cards and our supervisors carry SSSTS Cards for your full assurance of professional services from experienced, qualified fitters. Surveys and planning including risk assessments and method statements are a standard part of our work and every member of our team is fully trained in the health and safety responsibilities.
